Coordinator of Applied Economics at IBRE/FGV and a professor at the Institute of Economics of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). He worked as an analyst at Gávea Investimentos, researcher of Applied Economics Research Institute (IPEA) and chief of Economics Department at the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), and also post-graduation programs professor at PUC-RJ and Getulio Vargas Foundation (EPGE). PhD in Economics at the University of California, Berkeley; graduate degree in Electronic Engineering at the Aeronautics Technological Institute (ITA) and Master’s degree in Statistics at IMPA, and in Business Administration at COPPEAD. He is member of the Superior Board of Economics at FIESP and regular contributor to Valor Econômico and Correio Braziliense newspapers.
